Epynt Motor Club annually organises two major local rallies, the Old Forge Garage Mewla Rally in August and the D.G Jones Agri Powys Lanes Rally in November raising £1,750 to be donated to local causes.

Epynt Motor Club raised £1750 for local causes last year through its two major local rallies, the Old Forge Garage Mewla Rally in August and the D.G Jones Agri Powys Lanes Rally.

The Powys Lanes event generated £1,500, which was split between the Bracken Trust – support local people and their families suffering with cancer – and Wales Air Ambulance. It was the club’s sixth donation to the air ambulance charity, bringing the total pledged since 2011 to £2800.

Wales Air Ambulance’s Peter and Joanna Tonks said: “Wales Air Ambulance relies on these donations to help improve and expand the service it provides. The possibility of limited night flying and neonatal incubators fitted to the helicopters will provide a service that will help many more people in Wales.”

Meanwhile the Mewla Rally donated £250 to Sennybridge Junior Football Team. Epynt Motor Club also raised £25 for Children in Need at one of its Autotests.
