FIA Motorsport Games is Go!

Led by Team Captain, Flick Haigh, Team UK joined 196 drivers from fifty nations at the opening ceremony in the Italian capital ahead of three days of competition which will see them battle it out for medals in the Olympic-style event.

Opening with a procession of Roman soldiers, the ceremony, co-hosted by nine-times Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, took place at Ancient Rome’s historic chariot racing arena Circo Massimo with the Games officially opened by president of the Italian Automobile Club (ACI) Angelo Sticchi Damiani.

James Baldwin, Rory Butcher, Jessica Edgar, Chris Froggatt, Flick Haigh, Samuel Shaw will compete for medals in the Digital Cup, GT Cup, Karting Slalom and Touring Car Cup respectively, with the winning country crowned FIA Motorsport Games Champions at Vallelunga Circuit on Sunday evening.
