Following extensive consultation with the forest Rally community and forestry bodies across the UK, Motorsport UK launched its Sustainable Rally Charter during the 50th edition of the Rallynuts Severn Valley Stages on 13 April.

The famous McRae name is back on the top step of the rallying podium. Teaming up with Cameron Fair, a graduate of Motorsport UK’s Academy co-driver programme, 19-year-old Max McRae claimed his first FIA Junior European Rally Championship win on the rough and tough gravel stages of Rally Hungary. 

After a strong 2023 season, Motorsport UK Academy Team UK graduate Jon Armstrong embarks on his career’s next chapter. Having impressed when winning last year’s WRC3 title, the 29-year-old Northern Irelander is stepping up into a factory-entered M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally2 for the super-competitive 2024 FIA European Rally Championship which blasts off in Hungary this weekend. 

The Safari Rally is renowned as the toughest test on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar – certainly not one for the faint-hearted nor for those feeling under-the-weather, which makes Gus Greensmith’s awesome heroics on last weekend’s gruelling event all the more valiant.
