Motorsport clubs are the backbone of UK motorsport
Clubs & Organisers
Motorsport UK recognises that motor clubs are the backbone of UK motorsport and is committed to aiding their development through a variety of resources and initiatives:
Taster & Entry-Level Competitions
To help encourage newcomers, Motorsport UK offers a Taster Event permit, under which all competitors are deemed to be club members for the day. This allows clubs to run events for members of the public, making it as easy as possible for them to get their first taste of competitive grassroots motor sport from behind the wheel. Motorsport UK-registered clubs are permitted to run one such event per year in each discipline for public and non-club members. Apply for a Motorsport Taster Event and download an Organising Permit Application form.
Motorsport UK Development Fund (formerly MSA Motor Sport Development Fund)
Motorsport UK provides a fund that offers registered clubs grant aid towards development activities. Since the fund was started, Motorsport UK has provided grant aid of over £1 million to assist projects worth a total of more than £5 million. To make an application on behalf of your club, please find the guidance and application forms below.
Motorsport UK Sustainability Fund
Motorsport UK provides a £250 fund to registered clubs towards sustainable activities. Clubs need to complete the ‘Environmental Sustainability in Motorsport’ online module and workbook within the Learning Hub and create an Environmental Management System for their club or event before applying.
