Enovation Consulting and PUNCH Flybrid to bring expertise to Girls on Track UK

Wednesday 08 March 2023

Motorsport UK’s Girls on Track UK will continue to benefit from the industry-leading expertise of Enovation Consulting whilst welcoming a new partnership with PUNCH Flybrid in 2023.

Girls on Track UK inspires girls and women into seeing and believing that there is a rightful and valuable place for them in the motorsports industry. Girls on Track UK events are held across the country for girls aged 8-24, where they’re invited to try fun motorsport-related challenges and understand potential careers within the motorsport and automotive sectors, including those in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) industry.

Sharing that mission, Enovation Consulting and PUNCH Flybrid will support the programme by delivering engineering activities as well as an engaging Lego coding task at Girls on Track UK events for the remainder of 2023.

Enovation Consulting is an independent, purpose-driven sustainability and strategic management agency driving the sustainability movement forward in sport. Among a range of other services, the company creates and delivers activations and community engagement initiatives connected to sustainability and STEM. Enovation Consulting has been an official Girls on Track UK STEM partner since 2021 and is also a founding member of Tomorrow’s Engineers Code, a commitment to work towards common goals to increase the diversity and number of young people entering engineering careers.

PUNCH Flybrid is the world’s leading producer of high power, flywheel–based Energy Storage Systems. The technology can be used to capture energy that would otherwise be wasted, store it in a high-speed flywheel and then use it to improve the overall efficiency. Originally designed for the high intensity life of motorsport, PUNCH Flybrid’s systems have demonstrated their performance under demanding conditions in various applications in off-highway, power generation, commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

Hugh Chambers, Motorsport UK Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Enovation Consulting has been a valuable partner of Girls on Track UK for two years and we’re pleased to welcome PUNCH Flybrid as a new partner.

“Motorsport UK’s Girls on Track UK programme is designed to inspire and encourage more girls into our sport in a fun, dynamic and engaging way. Enovation Consulting and PUNCH Flybrid will provide real industry insight into STEM subjects. We look forward to working with them both and continuing the momentum of Girls on Track UK.”

Dr Cristiana Pace, Founder and CEO of Enovation Consulting said, “Having worked with the Girls on Track UK initiative since its earliest days, both as an ambassador and as official STEM partner with Enovation Consulting, I have been privileged to see it grow into a thriving programme and community that delivers real impact in encouraging and inspiring young women to consider a career in motorsport. Through our continued partnership, we look forward to supporting this important work long into the future, making coding and engineering accessible to even more girls in an engaging, playful way and building the foundations for a more diverse motorsport industry.”

Claire Waterson at PUNCH Flybrid, said, “I am delighted that I am able to bring the Girls on Track UK programme to PUNCH Flybrid. Our vision is aligned that this programme does an amazing job at showing young girls that careers in motorsport and STEM are open to everyone. Our long-term hope is that we can help to break down the gender bias that we are still currently seeing in the workplace, and that more women and girls choose a STEM-based career. The partnership of two innovative sustainability companies coming together as Official STEM Partners also shows the importance of this field within engineering.

“I am really looking forward to the events and working with the girls involved in the programme this year.”
