Formula E set to electrify London’s Royal Docks this July

Wednesday 10 July 2024

All-electric racing will return to London on the 20 and 21 of July with Formula E’s London E-Prix taking over the ExCeL in London’s Royal Docks.

Held during National Motorsport Week, which runs from 11-21 July, Formula E will be the climax of an exciting period of motorsport in the UK.

The bespoke indoor/outdoor circuit, a world first in international motorsport, will see competitors take part in two 45-minute, plus-one-lap races, with drivers reaching speeds of up to 200mph.

Designed by British architect Simon Gibbons, in cooperation with the FIA & Motorsport UK, the 1.5-mile circuit features 22-corners and two substantial elevation changes as drivers negotiate incline and decline ramps that take them in and out of the 100,000 sqm ExCeL centre.

Jake Dennis triumphed on his home track in 2023 to claim his first FIA Formula E World Championship title.

UK motorsport will be well represented at the event with Dennis, currently fifth in the standings, returning alongside Oliver Rowland, who is fourth overall with four races remaining. Further Brits include Jake Hughes and Sam Bird, both part of the NEOM McLaren Formula E team, and Dan Ticktum.

Alongside the action on track, visitors can expect a weekend of entertainment in the fan village.

Tickets still remain available and can be purchased here from £20 onwards:
