Tuesday 10 August 2021

One of Britain’s many talented racing drivers, Harry Tincknell continues to impress on the global motorsport stage and add to his outstanding career highlights.

Tincknell was part of the Motorsport UK Team UK programmes back in 2010 and 2011, which paved the way for success in his first full season in the 2013 FIA European Formula 3 Championship, where he finished fifth. His motorsport journey then led him to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours series in 2014, racing for Jota Sport in the LMP2 class, during which time he became recognised as one of Britain’s brightest young talents.

2016 saw Tincknell continue to perform in the LMP2 class, this time in the European Le Mans series, and take the chequered flag twice in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Harry’s FIA WEC story didn’t stop there, with the young driver securing an overall third place in the 2017 season, in addition to second place in the GTE class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Ticknell branched out into the newly introduced Formula E series in 2018, with the driver obtaining the role as Rookie Test and Simulator Driver for the NIO Formula E team. During this chapter, Tincknell made his debut with Mazda Team Joest in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and finished fourth in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

More recently, the celebrated driver took victory at the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMGTE Pro class alongside fellow British driver Alex Lynn, making history as the first driver to win in the LMP2 and LMGTE Pro series. Tincknell secured a clear third position in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship, with a race win at the Sebring 12 Hours to conclude on a year of accomplishments. Currently, Harry Tincknell sits second in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship standings, along with Oliver Jarvis, and finished in P2 in the last race at Road America.

With an exceptional career portfolio to date, it will be exciting to see what else the talented British driver achieves next.
