Motorsport UK Esport Series

Motorsport UK has been busy in 2020 as the governing body for British four-wheel motorsport has launched several new and exciting Esports series for our members and community to watch take part in.

2020 Motorsport UK eBRC

Played on DiRT Rally 2.0 by Codemasters – this four round series welcomes Motorsport UK licence holders and Trackside members to take part in the first British title awarded by Motorsport UK for Esports competition. Competitors will use the Ford Fiesta R2T on two asphalt and two gravel rounds – reflecting the British Rally Championship. The champion will receive a test in a real life Ford Fiesta R2T, courtesy of EDSL Sport. Other prizes are available including factory tours, hospitality, tickets and merchandise.

2020 Motorsport UK iRacing Esports Series powered by iZone

Played on the popular iRacing  – this 11  round series welcomes Motorsport UK licence holders and Trackside members to take part in  the first Motorsport UK circuit racing Esports competition. Competitors will use the Dallara F3 on challenging circuits across the virtual world. Further support and training is available from the experienced and dedicated team at iZone Performance.

2020 PCSpecialist BRC Esports Invitational Series

The cast of the 2020 British Rally Championship will contest the Invitational series as the likes of Matt Edwards, Rhys Yates, Josh McErlean and James Williams renew rivalries in the virtual world. This series will be streamed live onto the British Rally Championship and Motorsport UK social media channels, with viewers being treated to four-bouts of drama from the BRC protagonists – with 2018 virtual World Rally Champion Jon Armstrong, Motorsport UK’s very own Ben Buesnel and BRC presenters Matt Cotton and Seb Scott providing the entertaining commentary.

2020 Motorsport UK Karting Esports Easter Championship

Motorsport UK in association with KartSim, Alpha Live and Motorsport Games launched the Motorsport UK Karting Esports Championship (Easter Series) – Britain’s premier Karting Esports series earlier in the year.

Karters and Esports drivers from around the world contested the curtain raising Easter Series. The championships were split into three categories with a class for Motorsport UK licence holders aged between 8-11 as well as a 12+ Motorsport UK licence holder class. The final category will be for anyone aged 12 and over and open to any driver around the world.

This trial event was a success and the team at Motorsport UK are evaluating further competitions.
