Motorsport UK and Safety Rocks today announced another year of partnership focused on promoting better risk management in motorsport. The three-pronged partnership promoting a positive approach to risk management across the motorsport community via the sport’s Clubs and Community team, delivering female opportunities within motorsport via the Girls on Track UK programme and at the track with a partnership in the Wera Tools F4 British Championship Certified by FIA.
Launched in 2015 by Carla Crocombe, Safety Rocks was born out of a passion to shake-up the world of health and safety by improving risk management standards and spark real, meaningful change across a variety of industries.
Through Truly Tailored® training, Safety Rocks’ dynamic approach promotes proactive engagement with risk by selling rather than telling of the benefits. This creates cultural change within organisations rather than rigid enforcement of standards via a tick-box and results in a positive and holistic approach to risk reduction, keeping the emphasis on fun and ‘doing’.
The partnership has already facilitated access to tailored safety training and education within the motorsport community.
In the first year of the partnership Safety Rocks proactively worked with Motorsport UK, Girls on Track UK and the F4 British Championship. With an active presence at events, integration with organisational activities and engagement with teams to encourage best safety practice has helped instil a culture of safety with minimal disruption to efficiencies.
Hugh Chambers, CEO, Motorsport UK, said: “Safety Rocks has been a huge asset to our learning and development programmes, with their innovative approach encouraging positive cultural change. Safety in motorsport is a key priority but is sometimes difficult to communicate clearly. Safety Rocks is transforming this perception, helping us to control the inherent risks within our sport by engaging our community and keeping the emphasis on enjoying motorsport.
“We have also been highly encouraged by everything Safety Rocks has achieved with Girls on Track UK and the F4 British Championship so far and look forward to even greater success in the future.”
Carla Crocombe, Founder & Managing Director, Safety Rocks Limited, said “Another year, another lap — and we’re only getting faster. Our tri-aspect partnership with Motorsport UK isn’t just about putting Safety Rocks on the grid; it’s about inspiring the next generation, creating measurable pathways to grow, and transforming how an entire industry thinks about risk. From the paddock to the boardroom, we’re proving that safety isn’t a barrier to performance, it’s the true foundation of ensuring longevity. Year two, and we’re just getting started.”
