Shenington Superprix showcases the best of karting during National Motorsport Week

Shenington put on a show during National Motorsport Week, welcoming 260 entrants for their Shenington Superprix with the Motorsport UK E Plates over the weekend of 19-20 July.

Despite challenging and heavy showers over the weekend, the entrants and 70 historic owners enjoyed the weekend with exceptional racing on show at the Oxfordshire venue.

The weekend culminated in a huge prize giving, enhanced with Johnny Herbert handing over the trophies and prizes.

The Gil Rixon Trophy for the Junior Driver of the day went to Milo Manderson who was fourth in Junior X30, and he received an authenticated hologram piece of Lando Norris F1 bodywork, signed, courtesy of Ron Meadows of the Argenti race team.

The Senior Driver of the Day went to Ryan Sayers, third in Senior Rotax Max, who gained 13 places. The George Coward Trophy for KZ2 went to the winner Ella Stevens.

Congratulations to the E Plate winners the new Motorsport UK English Champions who were:

  • KZ2: Ella Stevens
  • IAME Waterswift Restricted: Dimitar Uzunov
  • IAME Waterswift Inter: Chester Forkes
  • IAME Junior X30: Maayan Patel
  • IAME Senior X30: James Pashley
  • 210 National: Lionel Sifleet

And receiving tickets for the IAME World Finals in Spain were:

  • IAME Waterswift Inter: Chester Forkes, Henry Clarke, James Roots and Philip Paterau
  • IAME Junior X30: Maayan Patel, Max Endacott, Oliver Meek, Milo Manderson
  • IAME Senior X30: James Pashley, Sam Branston, Sam Lewis, Leo Robinson
  • Formula Libre for a Masters class ticket: Matthew Swanston who was second and the first to be age-eligible.
