Sun and stellar entry list for Shenington Superprix
Shenington’s Superprix and Historic Revival has a stellar entry list of over 270 drivers to finish off National Motorsport Week, with Johnny Herbert, former Formula 1 driver and winner of the 1995 Silverstone Grand Prix on the bill for prize giving.
Herbert has an extensive racing career and most recently piloted a Lola T001 Formula E up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. He may also be out on his kart on the Friday practice day.
Attendees can enjoy static displays of historic and classic karts, lovingly restored by their owners, with track displays also included in the programme. Live music and entertainment will take place across the weekend, with street food and a bouncy castle – so that the whole family can enjoy the weekend.
Shenington’s premier event of the year is sponsored by Zip Kart, John Mills Engineering, Wera tools and KartSim. The weekend will also be streamed on Youtube.
The Shenington Superprix is part of the Motorsport UK’s National Motorsport Week celebrating the sport that remains at the beating heart of Britain’s psyche. Come rain or shine, events from grassroots levels upwards are set to take place across the country – and we want you to get involved.
Shenington are always seeking new volunteers, whether flag or paddock marshals, trainee scrutineers, in addition to Clerks of the Course’s or Timekeepers.
