Wrexham Pro Drifter to represent Team UK in Riga

Twenty-three-year-old Welsh Pro Drift driver Lwi Edwards takes to the international stage after being selected to represent Team UK at the forthcoming FIA Intercontinental Drifting Cup in Riga, Latvia, this 4 and 5 October.

Wrexham born and bred, Lwi Edwards won his first competition in 2019, and has since taken gold at both the premier 2023 and 2024 Motorsport UK Drift Pro Championship.

Lwi drives a highly modified 800hp BMW E36 built and maintained family-run Wrexham company Allitalia Ltd and his natural talents have attracted sponsorship from globally recognised companies Bilstein Suspension, Haltech ECU and L2D along the way

Lwi comments, “I am honoured to be able to officially representTeam UK at the FIA IDC. The opportunity for a small family-owned team from Wrexham to compete at the highest level in Drifting is an amazing achievement that I have been striving for the last six years.

The team is working hard behind me and I am at my peak to push for a great result for Team UK.”

The FIA Intercontinental Drifting Cup brings nations and drivers together from around the World to battle it out at the Bikerneiki Circuit in Riga, in a packed field.
