Motorsport UK Young Journalist of the Year announced

Monday 24 November 2025

Motorsport UK is delighted to confirm Thiemo Albers-Daly has won the 2025 Award for Young Journalist of the Year.

Thiemo is a Freelance Journalist who has written for DriveTribe and produces his own podcast ‘On the Kerbs’. He also contributes to Paddock Chronicle.

Thiemo commented on his win, “I’m delighted and honoured to have been chosen by Motorsport UK for this award and grateful to them for both the recognition of myself and of The Paddock Chronicle. I love what I do and for it to be noticed at this level is something that I could only dream about until now – and is a heck of a motivator for me to keep pursuing my passion and hopefully is for others too. It doesn’t seem quite real yet!”

Katy Fairman, 2024 Young Journalist of the Year winner and Formula E Championship Journalist, added on her win, “What an incredible honour this is, and undoubtedly one of the highlights of my career. It has been a dream of mine to win this award, and to join such a talented group of previous winners is very special.”

The Motorsport UK Young Media Awards winners will be honoured at the annual Motorsport UK Night of Champions, held at the Royal Automobile Club on Pall Mall in January 2026. The recipients will receive a Motorsport UK trophy as well as a £1,000 prize to further their progress within motorsport media.
