Roger Albert Clark is underway…

Friday 21 November 2025

After a ceremonial start in Carmarthen on a chilly Wednesday night, the Roger Albert Clark Rally is underway… with 190 cars tackling 330 stage miles, across a 1000 mile route through three nations during five days.

Leg one saw teams tackle the freezing forests of South Wales, with Pembrey serving as the afternoon Service Park.

Tough conditions for the teams saw Osian Pryce and co-driver Dale Furniss take the lead on Leg One in their Ford Escort Mk2 with Matt Edwards and Sion Williams close behind.

Defending winner Martin McCormack and Barney Mitchell, on the notes, were close behind in third.

“Really, really good day! First day in the car, through the R.A.C. my God! It’s typical R.A.C…. it’s slippy, it’s tricky, it’s all about keeping on your toes. We are still here.” Said McCormack.

“That was hard…” Commented Pryce, “We just got through it really, backed off to be honest. But yeah… a lot slower than this morning.”
