Motorsport UK has officially launched Vision 2030 – an ambitious five-year strategy, developed in consultation with our community, that will power the future of UK motorsport.
Shaped by the voices of competitors, volunteers, clubs, officials and partners from across the sport, Vision 2030 reflects a shared ambition: to get more people enjoying motorsport, more often.
Unveiled in January via a dedicated website, detailed strategy document and live broadcast from our Bicester headquarters, the strategy sets a clear direction for growth – one rooted in accessibility, inclusion and long-term sustainability for every part of our community.
A Strategy Focused on Growth
Vision 2030 is built around three clear priorities:
Retain: supporting current members to take part more often by reducing friction, improving communication and making participation simpler, more rewarding and more enjoyable.
Renew: reigniting passion among those who’ve stepped away from the sport, with clearer pathways back in, better experiences and more flexible ways to get involved again.
Recruit: making it easier for new audiences to discover and join motorsport by breaking down barriers to entry and creating welcoming, accessible routes into the sport for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Delivery will be driven through detailed action plans across five core elements of the motorsport ecosystem:
- Competitor Participation
- Volunteers and Officials
- Vehicles and Equipment
- Venues and Events
- The wider Club Community
Together, these pillars will ensure Vision 2030 delivers meaningful, measurable impact over the next five years – strengthening the foundations of the sport while opening new doors for future generations.
Turning Vision into Action
The wheels are already in motion.
Our Sport Pathways Review is now underway, evaluating how people enter the sport for the first time and how we can better support lifelong participation. Alongside this, you’ll have seen our refreshed website – designed with clearer navigation and more welcoming information for newcomers – and work is progressing on a new Resource Centre, launching in the coming months.
Vision 2030 is not just a document – it is a live programme of work that will shape how we support, grow and connect the motorsport community over the next five years.

Watch the Launch Broadcast
To mark the launch, we hosted a special live broadcast from Motorsport UK HQ, presented by Vicki Butler-Henderson, who was joined by Chair David Richards CBE and CEO Hugh Chambers.
The discussion brought Vision 2030 to life — exploring the ambitions behind the strategy and responding to questions submitted directly by members of our community. It was a moment to reflect, to listen and to look ahead together.

Powering the future, together
Vision 2030 belongs to all of us. It is built on collaboration, and driven by a shared belief in the power of motorsport to inspire, connect and create opportunity. Over the next five years, we will work side by side with the community to remove barriers, create clearer pathways and ensure our sport is welcoming, inclusive and thriving at every level.
Thank you for being part of this brilliant sport. Together, we will power it forward.
