Motorsport UK’s StreetCar Festival returns, opening at Prescott Motorsport Festival

Saturday 10 May 2025

Motorsport UK’s StreetCar Festival is back this summer, celebrating the UK’s vibrant motorsport community– joining four much-loved motorsport events across the UK.

Created in 2022 the programme provides the opportunity for drivers to try out a range of disciplines – from Autotest to Car Trials, Cross-Country and Road Rallying behind the wheel of their standard unmodified road car – offering entry-level motorsport opportunities at a range of locations around the country this summer.

The calendar starts at Prescott Motorsport Festival on 7 and 8 of June, bringing together drivers and car clubs from across the UK to the historic venue for a celebration of motorsport. The event promises events that the whole family will enjoy, from passenger rides to a Touring Assembly and a barbeque and live music from the Hillclimb’s prestigious clubhouse.

On 10 August, StreetCar will join Anglesey Autofest at one of Wales’ most-loved circuits, inviting anyone to get behind the wheel of their car and enjoy grassroots motorsport.

The StreetCar team will also travel north of the border to Knockhill Race Circuit on 27 September to support the Time Attack event.

One final destination is yet to be announced…

Claire Kirkpatrick, Director of Club and Volunteer Development at Motorsport UK comments, “Buoyed on by the success of our StreetCar Festival in 2024, we are thrilled to be back at two locations that epitomise motorsport for our 2025 events. It is thanks to our vibrant community of 76 affiliated StreetCar clubs around the UK, that we can encourage even more people to get behind the wheel and try out motorsport for themselves.”

Bugatti Owner’s Club, Prescott Speed Hill Climb, adds, “After the success of StreetCar Festival last year, it is great to see the enthusiasm that Motorsport UK has towards our event. We are excited to collaborate with Motorsport UK at the 2025 Prescott Motorsport Festival and look forward to showcasing entry level disciplines in the hope of diversifying motorsport.”

Jonathan Parry, Director, Anglesey Autofest, said, “This year we are returning to Anglesey Circuit for our fourth year of Anglesey Autofest. Having StreetCar join us this year means that we can work together to promote Welsh motorsport and get people involved to see what it’s all about.”

Stuart Gray, Knockhill Director of Events, said, “We are delighted to be hosting the Motorsport UK StreetCar Festival Scotland event at the TimeAttack event in September. It will showcase a whole range of grassroots motorsports to a new audience and hopefully bring more people into motorsport.”
