Podium for Brits at FIA World Karting Championship
British drivers Timo Jungling and Noah Wolfe delivered outstanding performances at the weekend’s FIA World Karting Championship, both standing on the podium in the KZ2 World Cup race.
Both drivers began their motorsport journeys through Motorsport UK club racing, competing in the Honda Cadet class before progressing through the British Kart Championships (BKC) classes and eventually moving into European events in the premier short circuit gearbox category, KZ2.
Both Timo and Noah made a return to the KZ2 class in 2025 as guest drivers at rounds of the Wera tools British Championships held at Warden Law and GYG, demonstrating their ongoing connection to the UK karting scene and love of the KZ Class.
Their achievements at the World Championships are even more notable given the scale of competition, with over 125 drivers in the class and only three British competitors in the entire field.
Timo produced a stunning drive to finish second, claiming the Vice Champion title, while Noah secured third place after a series of superb overtakes in the final.
Dan Parker, Head of Karting, Motorsport UK, comments, “We are delighted to see two British drivers on the podium yet again at the pinnacle of the sport, their success is a fantastic reflection of the strength of British karting, and we hope their journey inspires more drivers to consider the KZ class.”
It’s an exciting time for the KZ class in the UK, with the new entry age now aligned with other senior categories, and the new kart circuit at Silverstone providing drivers with the opportunity to experience KZ racing on a modern, FIA-approved karting facility for the first time.
We’re very much looking forward to following the careers of both drivers and seeing what comes next for the latest BKC graduates as they continue to represent British karting on the world stage.
