Motorsport has long been synonymous with performance and precision. For Motorsport UK, the race today is not only about speed – it’s about sustainability.

Our real challenge and opportunity lie in motivating the 5,000 permitted events held nationwide every year, their organisers and the clubs behind them, to make their own activities more sustainable.

With no mandatory reporting requirements and many organisers lacking the knowledge or capacity for full-time sustainability roles, our focus is on education. Offering free data tools and an active network of volunteers, to support organisers in taking practical steps towards delivering a long-term sustainability strategy.

Our Head of Sustainability, Jessica Runicles will be presenting on this topic at the 2025 GSBS Report Launch on 26 November in London, during which she will discuss how leading through collaboration rather than regulation, can shape the future of sustainable motorsport.
