Race With Respect & Safeguarding

Motorsport is powered by people – competitors, volunteers, officials, teams and spectators who bring the sport to life every day. Creating a safer, welcoming and respectful environment for everyone involved is essential to the future of our sport.

Motorsport UK supports this through two key areas: Race With Respect, which promotes positive behaviour across the sport, and Safeguarding, which helps protect children and adults at risk and provides a clear and trusted route to raise concerns if someone may be at risk.

Together, these approaches help ensure motorsport remains a place where people feel safer, respected and confident to take part.

Race With Respect

Race With Respect is Motorsport UK’s commitment to promoting positive behaviour across the sport. It encourages everyone involved in motorsport – from competitors and volunteers to teams and spectators – to treat each other with respect on track, in the paddock and service park.

Through the Race With Respect Code and community initiatives, Motorsport UK sets clear expectations for behaviour and supports a positive environment across the sport.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding helps protect people in our sport – particularly children and adults at risk – from harm. It provides guidance, support and a clear and trusted way for anyone in the motorsport community to raise a concern if they believe someone may be at risk.

Motorsport UK works with clubs, volunteers and organisers across the UK to strengthen safeguarding awareness, deliver training and ensure concerns are handled sensitively and appropriately.
