An evening to celebrate ‘The Most Significant Ferrari in The World’
Motorsport UK are delighted to offer members the chance to attend an evening to celebrate ‘The Most Significant Ferrari in The World’ at the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Park.
A car that experts are calling ‘The most significant Ferrari in the world’, will be on display at Woodcote Park, where the Club will celebrate the 70th anniversary of when the Ferrari 166 won the 1949 Targa Florio, Mille Miglia and 24 Hours of Le Mans in the same year – the only car to ever manage this triple. The evening will also recognise the growth of Ferrari’s touring and sportscars from this era.
In total, four Ferrari 166 cars, each with a significant history, will be on display on the Cedar Lawn, along with two 212 Barchettas from the same era. These cars will be joined by other eye-catching vehicles from the Prancing Horse marque to create a wonderful tapestry of Italian machines.
The dinner will be attended by Club members and guests, Ferrari owners, enthusiasts and those who have special ties with the development of the racing sportscars from the Prancing Horse marque, including Louis de Fabrickers, Head of Design at styling house Touring, who designed the bodies of the original 166’s.
To be in with a chance of buying one of the nine Motorsport UK tickets, register through the waiting list to be entered into the ballot. Applicants will be randomly drawn on Monday 12th August 2019. Successful applicants will be contacted by email, and be able to buy a ticket at £95. This event has a dress code of Jacket and tie.
