Global DRO

The Global Drug Reference Online (Global DRO) provides information about the prohibited status of specific substances on the current World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List. Motorsport-related information is listed under ‘Automobile’. To access this site click here.

TUE

The Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) process grants approval for a competitor to use a prohibited substance or method that has been prescribed to treat a legitimate medical condition.

Only in emergency situations (such as an allergic reaction, exacerbation of asthma, or the onset of Bell’s palsy) should treatment begin without the necessary TUE approval.

Prohibited List

The Prohibited List identifies substances and methods prohibited in-competition, out-of-competition and in particular sports. Since 2004 WADA has been responsible for the preparation and publication of the List, as mandated by the World Anti-Doping Code. To access the prohibited list, click here.
