Adrian Marfell and Paul Bartleman took their second win of the Britpart BXCC season at Kielder forest in Northumberland after a very challenging event of almost 90 miles in length.

Mark Jacques and Simon Kerfoot, who led after the opening day, finished second in their Lofthouse LS3. Dave and Antony Hooper overcame the exhaust falling off on Day Two to finish in third in their Jaguar-powered Simmbugghini, only three seconds off second place.

Marfell commented: “It’s been a very enjoyable event in a beautiful setting, the course was great and the competition was tough. We had a trouble free event and we’re all set for the title showdown at Walters in October.”
