More 2020 motorsport yet to come as sport restarts
Christmas may be on the horizon, but there are still more than 100 events to look forward to this season, as motorsport resumes in England today (2 December).
Seven disciplines will be in action in December with a variety of events across the country. Getting the December fixtures underway will be a series of 12-car navigational rallies – starting on Thursday and Friday evenings – a perfect way to get started in motorsport.
A mix of Autotests, Autosolos, Karting, Circuit Racing, Trials, Navigational Rallies and Cross-Country events pack the remainder of the clubman calendar in England, while the Isle of Man will enjoy a final flurry of events with an Autotest and Navigational Rally scheduled for the final month. Further updates will be given on the other devolved nations of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands when more information becomes available.
Rallying will also see a welcome return as the 61st Dukeries Rally at Donington will witness the first round of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship – with a stellar entry list getting the winter series off to a bang.
One of the major draws will be the resumption of the British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy at Lydden Hill (5/6 December). After the summer start, the all-action racing format will get back underway at the home of rallycross this weekend. Although the event will be taking place behind closed doors, you can still watch all the action on the BRX Facebook page. Another British series rounding out 2020 is the British Kart Championships which will host the season finale for the Honda and Rotax classes at Whilton Mill (19/20 December). The showdown will be streamed live on the BKC and Motorsport UK Facebook pages, with wheel-to-wheel action guaranteed.
