Steve Miles was crowned 2021 British Sprint Champion at Longton & District’s autumn Anglesey sprint on this month’s opening weekend event (2-3 October). Steve led the championship from start to finish, taking the victory with five rounds to go.

The British weather threw everything it had at the drivers, and despite not adding to his overall tally in Wales, his closest competitors could not rival his score of 445-points. The remaining championship positions will be decided in the final rounds, which occur at Castle Combe on 23 October.

On his championship win, Steve said: “Well, after 20 years, I’ve finally done it, 2021 British Sprint Champion. There has been great competition all year from V8s and Ecoboosts, and closest of all, Matt in the works SBD Dallara. Many thanks to my sponsors and a wonderful bunch of competitors in the paddock. I love you all!”
