The Board of Directors – Catherine Bond Muir
Catherine Bond Muir
Catherine Bond Muir is the current Chief Executive Officer of the W Series, a free-to-enter championship that provides equal opportunities for women and eliminates the financial barriers that have historically prevented them from progressing to the upper echelons of motorsport.
She is a former intellectual property solicitor who specialised sports law. In 2000, she moved into corporate finance where she spent over a decade working on sports and gaming M&A deals and IPOs. These included the sale of Chelsea Football Club to Roman Abramovich and the acquisition of Aston Villa by Randy Lerner.
A lifelong motorsport fan with treasured memories of watching James Hunt racing on television, Catherine’s vision of W Series was born at her dining table. The W Series came to life in its inaugural season in 2019 and has created the greatest number of professional female racing drivers of all time.
Catherine is Chair of Motorsport UK’s Women in Motorsport Committee, leading the organisations strategy to support female participation and a more inclusive sport.
