Everyone at Motorsport UK is deeply saddened by the passing of Bernard Cottrell after a long illness. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with Bernard’s family and friends.

Tributes for one of the most respected members of the motorsport community have been pouring in throughout the day, with many remembering Bernard’s long career in motorsport and valuable guidance. Among his many roles, he was a member of the Motor Sports Council, BRDC and 750 Motor Club, Chair of Motorsport UK’s Volunteer Officials Committee, and a Race Director and Marshal. We would like to express our deep gratitude for his dedicated service.
