Cornwall Motorsport Month is go!

Friday 30 August 2019

A month-long celebration of the best motorsport events in Cornwall is well underway with the first major event, Cornwall Motorfest, taking place this weekend (30 August – 1 September).

Billed as the county’s biggest motoring event, the three-day festival offers a great day out for families and petrol heads alike. British Touring Car star Tom Ingram will be present on Motorsport UK’s stand alongside his Ginsters-liveried Toyota Corolla, plus live music, stunt shows, classic cars and much, much more!

Those wishing to take their first steps in motorsport can take part in Camel Vale Motor Club’s ‘First Gear Taster Autotest’. Motorfest visitors can try their hand at car control with three attempts at an Autotest for just £10. The club will provide a car and advice on how to get started.

Cornwall Motorsport Month runs until Sunday 6 October with Watergate Bay Hill Climb headlining the month-long motorsport celebration. First run in 2018 as the first closed-road hill climb under new legislation, the popular event is back for a second year on the 14/15 September along the B3276 coast road between Padstow and Newquay. Other event highlights including Le Mans comes to St Mawes on Monday 9 September and a drive-in cinema at Watergate Bay on Friday 13 September.
