Snetterton track ‘walk and talk’ for World Mental Health Week

Wednesday 15 May 2024

Heading to Snetterton to watch the TCR UK Touring Championship this weekend? To mark World Mental Health Week, Driven Minds, a non-profit organisation that promotes awareness of mental health within UK motorsport will be hosting a track ‘walk and talk’ on 18 May.

The 4.8km walk is set to take place at 6.30pm on the Saturday, with several TCR UK drivers in attendance. All event ticket-holders are welcome to join the gathering.

Katie Ramsay-Gough, Driven Minds co-founder, comments: “We’re aiming to raise awareness of and access to mental health support in motorsport. Getting together to mark Mental Health Awareness Week is a fantastic opportunity to spread the word. Who knows, there might even be conversations on the track walk that help someone feel less alone!”

Vickie Lewis, Safeguarding and Welfare Case Manager adds, “Motorsport is a fantastic sport for all to be involved in and can have a positive effect on your wellbeing. Everyone involved in motorsport has a part to play in supporting the enjoyment and safety of its events, as well as look after their own wellbeing and wellbeing of others, so that the benefits of our sport can be enjoyed by all.”
